富有的英文詩歌

以下是一首富有英文詩歌:

Ode to Wealth

Rich I am, and unmindful of the day,

Yet of one thing I muse with amazement:

To-night the shadows roll on more grey

As over head o'er-fraught with decay,

Hither and thither to and fro I look

At furtive winds, in deeds ill-understood

Whispering where treasures that Time cannot stir

Yet I may unearth, as if the dead were stirred.

But wherefore mourn for wealth? The wealth I am,

'Tis a fair flower bed in a mellowing June,

The seed that I scatter o'er the earth may bring

Boughs richer than where the oaks so thick and long.

Thy eyes withal gaze in earthly joys

'Tis thine to rob of that. or gain that new;

Be the warm tears drop from joys afar,

It shall make richer mine by whatsoe'er.
