One day, a hare and a tortoise agreed to race each other. They both started at the same time and the hare thought it was easy, because it knew the tortoise would not be able to run so fast.

The hare ran ahead and looked back at the tortoise who was crawling along slowly. It decided to take a short break and fell asleep under a tree.

Meanwhile, the tortoise kept on moving steadily, never giving up, until it reached the finish line. The other animals cheered and congratulated the tortoise for winning the race.

The hare woke up and saw the tortoise crossing the finish line, feeling very embarrassed and ashamed. From then on, the hare learned to work hard and never take anything for granted again.
