Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. They built houses made of straw and wood, but each one decided to build a different type of house. The first pig built a house of straw, the second pig built a house of wood, and the third pig built a house of brick.

The first pig's house was easily burned down by a wolf. The wolf then came to the second pig and asked him to build a stronger house. The second pig was afraid and left for the woods. He decided to leave his house behind and go live in the woods with the other two pigs.

The third pig, however, refused to leave his brick house. He thought it was safe and that he was invincible. But the wolf came and knocked down his house, too. When he saw this, the third pig ran away into the woods, but he couldn't shake the fear that he had been left behind by his brothers.

So he sought out his brothers and asked them why they were safe while he was running for his life. They told him that it was because they had built their houses of brick instead of straw or wood. The wise third pig finally understood that he had been foolish for not building a brick house like his brothers.
