The Story of the Three Pears

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Tom. He loved to play with fruit and especially cherries. One day, he found three beautiful red pears in a tree and decided to take them home. As he picked them up, he noticed that one pear was slightly bruised. He decided to put it back and pick the other two.

On the way home, he started to feel full and heavy. Suddenly, he realized that he had forgotten about the bruised pear and it was too late to go back. He had taken all the good ones and left the bad one behind.

His mother was surprised to see him with only two pears and scolded him for being so foolish. She explained that we should always be aware of our choices and not just focus on the good ones. Sometimes, we end up with nothing but regrets when we only pick the best ones and leave the rest behind.

From then on, Tom learned to be more discerning and aware of his choices, and his life became much better for it.
