Rabbit was disappointed, but he didn't give up. He hopped on and continued his journey. He came to a meadow and saw a butterfly fluttering around. Rabbit called out to the butterfly, "Are you my new friend?" The butterfly smiled and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm too small to be your friend."

Rabbit was feeling discouraged, but he still kept going. Finally, he came to a little tree and saw a squirrel chattering away. Rabbit called out to the squirrel, "Are you my new friend?" The squirrel looked up and said, "Yes, I am!"

Rabbit was so happy to have found a new friend! He and the squirrel chased each other around the tree, having fun and laughing. From then on, Rabbit had a new best friend and they played together every day.
