One day, she was rescued by an old toad who lived in the garden. She helped Little Thumb to her feet and they both traveled back to the lily flower together. The prince eventually found them and he was so happy to see Little Thumb safe and sound. He proposed to her and she accepted his proposal.

Little Thumb and the prince lived happily ever after, with the help of the old toad and the swan. They had many children and they all grew up to be strong and brave like their mother.
