英文寓言故事：The Farmer and the Snake

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who lived on a farm. One day, he was walking through his fields when he found a snake trying to climb up a tree. The farmer knew that snakes were dangerous and could bite him at any moment, so he decided to leave the snake alone.

As he was walking away, the snake suddenly spoke to him and said, "Thank you for not harming me. I promise I won't harm you either. In fact, I can be your friend and help you in your work."

The farmer was surprised but also felt that the snake's words were sincere. So he agreed to let the snake stay on his farm and be his friend.

From then on, the snake and the farmer became very close. They worked together to catch mice and other pests that could harm the crops. The farmer even taught the snake how to use a trap and how to avoid getting bitten by other animals.

One day, when the farmer was sick and couldn't work, the snake came to his aid and helped him around the house. He even brought him some food from the farm. The farmer was so grateful for his friend's help that he vowed to always be kind and respectful to all animals, even those that might seem dangerous at first.

This story teaches us that we should always be kind and respectful towards others, even if they seem different or strange at first. We never know what a person or an animal is going through or what they might be capable of. By being open-minded and understanding, we can build bridges of friendship and understanding between people and animals.
