英文幽默故事：The Foolish Prince

Once upon a time, there was a foolish prince in a faraway land. He was always doing foolish things and making a fool of himself, but his parents never taught him any better. One day, the foolish prince decided to go on a journey to explore the world.

On his way, he met a wise old man who taught him some valuable lessons. The wise man said, "To be a wise man, you must first learn to distinguish between right and wrong. Then you must follow the principles of wisdom and compassion."

The foolish prince nodded his head and promised to follow the wise man's advice. But when he got back home, he forgot all about it. He continued doing foolish things and making a fool of himself.

One day, the foolish prince decided to hold a royal wedding for himself. He invited all the important guests from the land and spent an extravagant amount of money on decorations and food. But when the day of the wedding came, he couldn't remember what to say or do during the ceremony. He just stood there, looking lost and confused.

Finally, the wise man came to the wedding and gave a speech that made everyone laugh. He said, "You may be a foolish prince, but you have a heart of gold. Just remember that wisdom and compassion are the keys to true happiness."

The foolish prince laughed and realized that he had been foolish for too long. From then on, he started following the wise man's advice and became a much wiser and happier man.
