英文文化故事：The Tortoise and the Hare

Once upon a time, there was a slow but steadfast tortoise and a fast but impatient hare. They were both competing to see who was the fastest in the forest. The hare was always eager to win, but the tortoise was confident but calm.

One day, they decided to race. The hare started off at full speed, but after a while, it saw a grass path and decided to take a short cut. However, it didn't take long for the rabbit to fall asleep under a tree and the tortoise continued steadily on its way.

When the hare woke up, it realized that the tortoise was far ahead of it. It tried to catch up, but it was too late. The tortoise won the race and everyone in the forest congratulated it.

But the hare was not satisfied. It thought that it could have won if it hadn't been distracted by the grass path. So, it decided to try again and it vowed to be more focused and disciplined.

From then on, the tortoise and the hare continued to race each other. Sometimes the hare would win, sometimes the tortoise. But they both enjoyed the competition and learned from each other.

This story teaches us that persistence and discipline are essential for success, even if we are not naturally gifted in certain areas. We should never give up easily and should always try our best to improve ourselves.
