The merchant gave the book to the ghost hunter, who spent several days conducting rituals and chanting incantations to release the spirit. Finally, after much effort, the spirit was freed and left the mansion, never to return again.

From that day on, the mansion was quiet and peaceful, and the merchant and his servants could finally sleep soundly again.
