The old lady asked Jane if she would like to come inside and have some hot chocolate. Jane accepted the offer and soon warmed up by the fire. She told the old lady about her hard life and how she sold matches to make a living.

The old lady was moved by Jane's story and decided to help her. She gave Jane some money and told her to go back to school and finish her education. From that day on, Jane no longer had to sell matches on the street. She went back to school and became a successful doctor.

Years later, Jane met the old lady again and thanked her for changing her life. The old lady smiled and said, "You are the one who changed your own life, Jane. You have the courage and determination to pursue your dreams."

This story teaches us that we have the power to change our own destiny through hard work and determination. No matter how difficult our life may seem, we can always find a way to overcome our challenges and reach our goals.
