Once upon a time, there was a rabbit and a tortoise. They were both very proud of their speed and endurance. One day, they decided to have a race to see who was the fastest.

The race started and the rabbit took off like a flash, leaving the tortoise far behind. But the rabbit soon realized that he had taken a shortcut and was now too far ahead of the tortoise. He decided to take a little nap on the grass, confident that he could easily win the race.

Meanwhile, the tortoise was steadily moving forward, never giving up. The rabbit woke up and saw the tortoise only a few meters away from the finish line. He tried to sprint to the finish line, but it was too late. The tortoise had already won the race.

The moral of the story is that even if you are faster than someone else in the beginning, it doesn't mean you will always win. Perseverance and hard work are more important than speed in achieving success.
