My Favourite Festival

There are many festivals in a year, but my favourite festival is Spring Festival. It is the most important festival in China, which is usually in January or February.

During Spring Festival, people usually clean their houses and buy new clothes for themselves and their families. They also decorate their houses with red paper cut-outs and couplets with good wishes on them. People visit their family members and friends, giving red envelopes with lucky money. This is a time for family reunion and joy.

Besides, there are many customs and traditions during Spring Festival. One of them is the "Spring Festival Diet", which means people have to eat less and drink less during the festival, so as to not to invite bad luck for the whole year. Another tradition is the dragon dances, which are exciting and beautiful. People usually gather together to watch them.

Apart from these, I like Spring Festival because it is a time for renewal and rejuvenation. It is a time for people to reflect on their past mistakes and make resolutions for the future. It is also a time for people to appreciate what they have and be grateful for their family and friends.

In conclusion, Spring Festival is my favourite festival because it is a time for renewal, reunion, joy and gratitude. It is a time for people to celebrate together and enjoy the happiness of the season. I hope everyone can have a wonderful Spring Festival!
