In the 48th year of Emperor Kangxi, the third emperor of the Qing Dynasty gave a garden to the fourth son of Changchunyuan North Yili, and the title of the garden was Yuanmingyuan. Since then, Yuanmingyuan has embarked on its history of nearly one hundred and fifty years.
