Green changes life

Green changes life

Since the World Expo, the Chinese have gradually understood the green life, but this is already a bit late!

If people wake up early, the earth and stone flow in Gansu will not happen at all. If they cut down on trees and build less hydropower stations, the tragedy will not happen!

I read in the book that there is a place in the Taklimakan Desert called Lop Nur, where there is an endless Gobi Desert. There is no grass or a stream. The maximum temperature in summer is 70 degrees, but some people know that Lop Nur was not a desert. In the distant past, there is an oasis of life, surrounded by cows and horses, surrounded by green forests and clear rivers. The demise of Lop Nur has a direct relationship with the Tarim River.

The lower reaches of the Tarim River is rich in river water, blue waves, and the shores of Populus euphratica are densely populated. From 1925 to 1927, under the command of the Kuomintang, the Tarim River diverted to the north and flowed into the Peacock River into Lop Nur, resulting in drought and water shortage in the lower reaches of the Tarim River. After the liberation of 1952, the middle reaches of the Tarim River were built with the wheel dam and the Tarim River was changed. The ecological environment in the lower reaches of the Tarim River was improved.
However, the population on both sides of the Tarim River has increased dramatically, and the demand for water has also increased. People have built more than 130 reservoirs and built more than 400 pumping stations. Some pumping stations have pumped more than 10,000 cubic meters a day, which finally caused the Tarim River to drain. The Lop Nur, which had broken the water, became a dead lake and a dry lake.
After Lop Nur was dried up, the surrounding ecological environment changed immediately, all the herbaceous plants died, and the desert advanced to the lake at a speed of three to five meters per year. Lop Nur soon merged with the vast and innocent Taklimakan Desert.

This is the mistake people made! Lop Nur, once known as Sven Lake by Sven Hed, died within 30 years. Should Chinese people reflect on their own mistakes? If we blindly increase the use of water for farming, blindly build reservoirs to save water, Lop Nur will not die, the animals there will not all die, and green will not disappear from there!

From now on, we must protect nature and save water. Otherwise, our last drop of water is our tears.
