Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival for the Chinese people. There are also some traditional folk customs. In addition, there is a beautiful and moving legend.

Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a huge monster that often ran out to eat people on the night of the New Year's Eve. Because it came out in the New Year's Eve, people call it "Year." It was too big, and the guns and guns were inaccessible. The villagers were unarmed and could not fight it, so they had to flee.

One night, the villagers were preparing to pack things and flee, and suddenly there was an old woman. I saw that her clothes were not perfect, her face was pale, and she didn’t eat anything for a few days. The villager hurriedly gave her something, and she slowly recovered.

She asked: "Why are you packing up?"

The man said: "We will come to a monster every night on the New Year's Eve, and eat the people in the village."

The old woman asked again: "What monster is it? So powerful?"

"It's a fierce monster."

"Ferocious monster?" The old lady had a number in her heart.

"How about us to make a deal?" said the old woman.

"What transaction?"

"What do you give me to eat and live, how can I help you drop the demon?"

"Can you still drop the demon? The person was surprised to hear it.

"How are you, do you want to be clear?"

"Well, let me try."

The next night, the "year" came again as usual. But it’s east, west, and you can’t see a figure. Suddenly, a loud noise, "year" looking for the sound, I saw a man in red dress looking at it with a smile. "Year" is very happy, and I finally saw a person. It ran quickly, but it screamed and ran back before it reached the old man.

It turns out that the "year" is afraid of fire and red, so when I see the fire and the red, I will return.

Since then, the "year" has never dared to run out to eat people. Then there was a Spring Festival couplet. The custom of setting off firecrackers.

Children also like Chinese New Year because they can get lucky money and candy.
