Lincoln

I believe that students who have read the article "Shoemaker's Son" must have some understanding of Lincoln. If you want to know Lincoln better, then come and feel with me, listen to me slowly!

Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, is a famous lecturer and lawyer, but the thing I admire most about him is forgiveness. During the American Civil War, a young man named Roseville McIntyre was recruited into the cavalry battalion. As the war progressed, the soldiers were scarce, and he was temporarily sent to the battlefield with almost no training. In the battle, the company was scared and finally escaped and was sentenced to death. When McIntyre’s mother got the message, she sent a request to Lincoln to ask Lincoln to let her son. Lincoln considered it over and over again and finally decided to forgive the soldier. Later, McIntyre died in a fierce battle in Virginia. Lincoln's forgiveness gave a second chance for him to turn from a sly escape to a fearless warrior, fighting to the last moment of life.

This story gives me a lot of inspiration, telling us how great the power of forgiveness is. For various reasons, it is impossible for a person to make no mistakes, but only forgiveness can give people the opportunity to correct mistakes and let him make up for the mistakes he made. And I also think of myself. In the past, if someone else did something that I was sorry for, I would always pursue it and refuse to forgive others for their fault. Reading this story, I feel very embarrassed, knowing the power of forgiveness is so important, I must be as open-minded as Lincoln.

Lincoln is not only open-minded, but also a humorous person!

As early as when he was studying, there was an exam. The teacher asked him: "Are you willing to answer a difficult question, or two easy questions?" Lincoln replied with confidence: "A problem." "The answer, the egg is How come?" "The chicken is born." The teacher asked again: "Where did the chicken come from?" "Teacher, this is already the second question." Lincoln smiled and replied.

Lincoln has many advantages. He is serious and has a good affinity.

In 1962, a group of famous historians gathered in the United States to divide the 31 presidents up to the time into five great, close to great, general, low, and worst grades. Of the five great presidents voted this time, Lincoln topped the list.
