a passionate Greek old man

This summer, our family traveled to Europe with Aunt Lu Wei and Ming Ming. In Athens, Greece, we met a passionate old man who was a taxi driver and left a deep impression on us.

Because of the fate, we met at the foot of the Acropolis Hill. At that time, we came down from the Acropolis and were hot and tired. We decided to take taxis to another attraction. We saw an old man standing next to a taxi. His face was covered with wrinkles. Both of them were white, and the nose was big and somewhat red. When he saw us coming, he used "Athens English" to ask where we were going. We said that we went to the Olympic Arena. Five people said that it was okay. When he talked about the price, he got on his car. Originally, we thought we were going to rent two cars, but the original Athens overload was not in charge.

This Athens old man is very enthusiastic. As soon as he got on the bus, he showed us an Athens travel book and pointed at it. Tell us which spots are very beautiful. We saw that the sights he said are basically what we plan to go. There was a beautiful harbor that we didn't plan to go to. I asked him how much it would cost to go to these places. He said 60 euros, and he usually had to pay 75 euros. We think it is also very cost-effective, and said to him: "OK."

Along the way, he kept talking to us. We even guessed and could only understand a few words. Every time he went to an attraction, he kept saying to us: "It's hot and spicy," he turned out to want to help us take a group photo. Mother gave the camera to him, he let us pose together, made us very happy, and thought he was very funny.

From noon to afternoon, he has been taking us through Athens. We went to the Hadrian Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Olympic Arena and other attractions, and also rushed to the place where the sentinels changed their posts. Every time he visits an attraction, he always waits patiently for us and helps us take a group photo.

Later, he took us to a bay lunch. This is a very beautiful harbor, with some sailing boats, masts reflecting on the calm waters, and lots of small fish swimming. We are very satisfied with his service and invited him to have lunch in order to express his gratitude. We asked him to order. He only ordered a small lunch of his own. He said that eating a little is enough.

Although it is difficult to communicate with him, we still understand some. He is 67 years old. He is a native of Athens and has been a taxi for 40 years. He has two sons and one daughter. . One of his sons also drives a taxi, the other is to learn music, and his daughter is a doctor. Having said that, his face showed a proud, satisfying smile.

This Greek old man is really a passionate and funny person. Although it was only a short contact, we felt from him that the country of Greece was on the verge of bankruptcy, and the Greeks still lived happily and calmly.
