Reading "Aesop's Fables"

I remember when I was a child, I often told my teacher and my parents to tell me: In the past, there was an old man who could tell a story. His name was Aesop. Today, after I finished my homework, I finally had time to finish reading this Aesop's Fables.

Through Anthropomorphic Fables, Aesop's Fables portrays different poultry and beasts with different personalities and preferences. It is used to describe people of all shapes and sizes, and through them to reveal the authenticity, good and evil, and beauty and ugliness of human beings. Among so many fables, my favorite is "The Fox Seeing the Lion", which tells that a fox has never seen a lion. One day, they finally met. The first time I saw this mighty and majestic behemoth, the fox was scared to death, and the head and the mouse fell into the wild. Coincidentally they met again. Although it was the second meeting, the fox’s heart was still panicked, but it was much better than the last time. When I met for the third time, the fox went forward with confidence and happily chatted with the lion.

After reading this story, I suddenly said the truth of this fable: Practice makes perfect. Thinking about it, I think the character represented by the fox is like me. When I was in the first and second grades, I was very timid. When I was on the podium, my legs were soft, my limbs were trembling, my tongue was numb. In the third grade, I dared to speak in the audience, but I still dare not speak on the stage. In the fourth grade, I spit on the stage of the lotus, and I was able to win the applause of everyone. In the fifth grade, I also won the first prize of the "English speaking contest". This shows how to courageously face and think about solving problems when we encounter difficulties.

There is also a parable of "Flies": a fly falls into the soup pot and is drowned. He said to himself: "Well, I have already eaten enough, I have enough to drink, and I have taken a shower. I am dead without regrets." The words of the flies fully demonstrate its self-deprecating spirit and also tell us: when When a new environment is unavoidable, try to adapt to the environment and integrate into the environment.

"Aesop's Fables" expresses a profound philosophical way in a story, so in ancient Greece, Aesop's Fables even measured the scale of a person's knowledge. The famous comedy writer Aristophanes once wrote such a line: "You don't even read Aesop's fables, you can see how ignorant you are." This is really a good book.
