After reading "100,000 Why"

When I opened the book "When 100,000 Why", I saw curiosity when I saw that there were many esoteric problems on it. "100,000 Why" is a series of popular science knowledge series, the content is numerous. "100,000 Why" often introduces us to some interesting natural phenomena, such as how the "four seasons" of the year are formed? What color is under the sea? Why is sea water blue? Why does the firefly shine? and many more. From this I found many scientific reasons and solved some mysteries in my heart.

One of the articles that I am interested in is "Why does the firefly shine?" Firefly luminescence is associated with the illuminator at its tail, which contains luciferin and luciferase luminescent substances in the illuminator. When air enters the illuminator, luciferin combines with oxygen in the air under the catalysis of luciferase, and the energy generated is converted into fluorescence. The more air that enters the illuminator, the brighter the emitted fluorescent light. It can be seen that fireflies do not emit light in the night, but this light is not as bright as sunlight, and it is thought that it does not shine during the day.

In the past, I didn't know the nine planets and the Milky Way. "100,000 Why" introduced us to the formation process of celestial bodies. I know that Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Earth, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are the nine planets in the solar system. The Milky Way is made up of many nebulae like the solar system. The earth we live in is only a "small star" in the universe.

"100,000 Why" is a good book, which makes me realize that the world is so rich and colorful, that knowledge is so interesting and interesting; it makes me know that science is power, and knowledge is wealth.
