There are more than a dozen households in our village, mostly Miao, and only my family is Han.

My neighbor has a grandmother, who is almost 80 years old, but her body is still tough. She has a daughter who teaches in the county, and it is rare to come back once. At the end of the year, she is always alone when she comes out.

Older grandmothers are not economically difficult. The hard part is that there is no manpower. After all, she is old, her hands and feet are not flexible, she can't go out and buy it, and she can't do it in time.

My mother is a warm-hearted person. Every day I come back from the field to work. I always go to the old grandmother's house to see it. Sometimes she is sewed and washed, sometimes she buys rice for her. My mother often said to me: "After school, you should also help your grandmother to do something. The young pioneers should know how to respect the elderly and take care of the elderly." I kept remembering my mother's words. At that time, I was still young. I could only help my grandmother wipe the table and sweep the floor. Nothing else could do. She wouldn’t let me do it. Now, when I grow up, I can do more for my grandmother.

Today is Sunday, I have had lunch, finished my homework, remembered that the sheets and clothes I had changed two days before my grandmother were still there, I quietly picked up the bamboo poles, took the washbasin, and washed the clothes by the river. Then quietly returned to the courtyard. I was drying my clothes, and my grandmother happily walked out of the house, set the cane aside, holding my head in both hands, holding my hot face against my face and smiling with a smile: "You are such a good boy." You help me like this, take care of me, really more than my daughter! How can I thank you!"

After listening to my grandmother, I was a little embarrassed and said: "Where are you going to do it, it is okay to do something for you. In the future, I will help you do more."
