Whale's self-report

Hello everyone! I am a whale. There are many types of whales, and in general they can be divided into two categories. One is a whale and has no teeth; the other is a toothed whale with sharp teeth.

The whales mainly eat small fish and shrimp, while our toothed whales eat big fish and sea beasts.

Because we look like fish, people call us "whales." In fact, we are not fish, but mammals. Our ancestors originally lived on land like the ancestors of cattle and sheep. Later, the environment changed. Our ancestors lived in the shallow sea. After a long period of time, the limbs and body of our ancestors degenerated into fish. It has adapted to life in the ocean.

We breathe with the lungs. When you exhale, it rises out of the water, and the jet of water is like a fountain in the garden. Different types of whales emit different water columns. The water column of the baleen is vertical, thin and tall. The water column of the toothed whale is sloping, thick and short.

We need to sleep. When you sleep, you will be with a few partners, with your head facing in, the tail outward, and a circle, floating quietly on the sea. If you hear something, then immediately swim around.

We have lived on the earth for more than 50 million years. However, due to human overkilling and pollution of the marine environment, our number has been drastically reduced.

Humans, save us! Don't kill us.
