Environmental concept from Singapore

On December 14th, the big brothers and sisters from Singapore Management University came to our school and gave us a section on environmental protection.
My brother and sister started with Singapore's geographical features. Singapore is a beautiful island country surrounded by oceans. It covers an area of only 694 square kilometers and has a large population. Therefore, drinking water depends on filtering sewage or buying water from neighboring Malaysia. . The first theme of this lesson is “Save Water”. Although 72% of our planet is covered by water, only a small amount of water is available for drinking. We are expected to have water shortage by 2025. Many students are very Surprised, so terrible! I believe that everyone is not willing to see this scene. The teacher introduced how to save water through the finger-and-finger stroke. For example, watering the flowers with Taomi, washing the toilet with the water from the mop, everyone has unwittingly mastered the knowledge in the game.
The second theme is “garbage classification”. Garbage can be divided into domestic garbage, medical garbage, construction garbage, agricultural garbage, radiation garbage, industrial garbage and special garbage. If the litter is thrown out, our environment will be greatly polluted, and the students will feel a lot of emotions. I didn’t expect so much knowledge in the garbage.
The third theme is “carbon footprint”. The carbon footprint is the damage caused by human beings and the impact left on it. A good way to reduce the carbon footprint is to use public transportation. When the appliance is used, it is closed. Minimize time and reuse shopping bags...
