Never Give Up - Feelings of Reading Robinson Crusoe
I like to read books since I was a child. Although my mother didn’t use words to tell me that “books are the ladder of human progress,” she often said: “The book has its own gold house”, “read thousands of books, travel thousands of miles” and so on. I didn't understand the meaning of these words before, but it didn't affect my love for books, and my mother has been supporting my hobby with practical actions. I bought a lot of books and showed them back to me. I also often take me to the bookstore to read free books. I also read a variety of books eagerly and eagerly, and learned a lot from it. This is not, summer vacation is coming, my mother gave me a few books to look at.
One of them, "Robinson Crusoe", let me put it down and read it over and over again.
This book was written by the British writer Defoe. He was ranked first among the famous British novelists in the 18th century and was hailed as the "father of English novels". This is a story about adventure, wisdom and courage. The author, Defoe, tells the story of a young sailor Robinson who has fallen into a desert island because of a shipwreck and has to live alone. The author expresses Robinson’s legendary experience in a self-narrative manner. He is not arrogant, but pessimistic and disappointing. Instead, he begins to think of ways to save himself – making canoes, building houses, growing wheat, raising goats, and roasting. Bread...even, saved an indigenous person and tried to fight against nature. In the end, he relied on his own hands and, with his own wisdom, spent 28 years building the desert island into a paradise.
In this process, although Robinson spent a lot of time and worked harder to do one thing, but with his strong perseverance, he lived on the desert island for 28 years, and finally Enron I left the desert island and returned to my hometown. Robinson reflects the pioneering spirit of optimism, forge ahead, never giving up, and never returning. Imagine that if Robinson did not insist on surviving, but gave up when he was on the desert island, then he would not survive, and even less likely to have subsequent brilliant achievements. However, he did not give up, he survived with his own hands.
When I finished reading this book for the third time, I couldn't help but ask myself: If I was in the environment where Robinson had been, would I have the courage to face everything in the storm? Will I overcome all the difficulties, do not give up on myself, and live bravely? Maybe I can't do this, but the spirit that Robinson never gives up makes me admire and worth learning.
In the future study and life, I will definitely encounter such difficulties, but I will not give up easily. I must work hard to overcome difficulties, study hard, live well, and adopt a positive and optimistic attitude to meet a bright future.
