"Confidence from time to time"-----Reading "Shoemaker's Son"

Today, I read the article "Shoemaker's Son" and I feel very deep.

The article mainly wrote: At the moment when Lincoln was elected president of the United States, the entire Senate staff humiliated Lincoln, but Lincoln was not humble, persuaded the members in his own language, and finally all the ridicules turned into applause. From this, I understand: the stone that criticizes laughter and jealousy is sometimes the step to self-confidence, chic, and freedom.

After reading this article, I understand: Don't be discouraged by the irony of others, and you can't despise yourself. This reminds me of my fourth grade classmate Shen Mingyan, because her family is poor and her clothes are not as gorgeous as other students, so the students laughed at her, but she did not take the ridicule of the students in my heart. Thinking about learning, the results will be good every time. When she stood on the podium to receive the prize, the students would look at her with envious eyes and see others comparing themselves. When I first went to learn English, the teacher asked me to read English, but I could not read. The students laughed happily. I decided to learn by my secret decision. When I got home, I followed the tape recorder over and over again. If I encountered a word that I couldn't, I went back to ask my mother or check the English-Chinese dictionary. I also got the first place in the final exam.

So don't be discouraged when you encounter criticism, ridicule, and jealousy, because that's the step you lead to self-confidence, chic, and freedom.
