At the Tanjiang side of Xiangjiang River, the fisherman met Qu Yuan and recognized that he was exiled by the three doctors. So, the two began to discuss the profound way of life and philosophy of life. The book "The Songs of the South" is the discussion process of the fisherman and Qu Yuan. And the fisherman's talks and demeanor can be seen that he is not a real fisherman. According to the words in the text, he is a "going to the world". He is a hermit who knows how to be safe and optimistic. He has seen through the world's turmoil, but he will never evade it, but he will be self-satisfied, and will pin his own sentiments into the endless nature, and maintain his own personality in the casual self-adaptation.

The fisherman exists as the opposite of Qu Yuan. Facing the darkness and filth of society, Qu Yuan is "thinking and exalting" according to the words in the text. He is persistent and decisive. He always adheres to the high standard of personality and pursues the spirit of innocence and purity. I would rather give up my life than to filthy dirt with the dirty world. Although the ideal is shattered, it is not dead.

Sima Qian is a familiar person, and he is the opposite of Qu Yuan. He used to create the value of life, and Qu Yuan used death to reflect the will and dignity of life.

The value of life is not in length, but in thickness and height.

The question raised by the fisherman and the life of the talk may be a temptation to Qu Yuan, perhaps a sincere persuasion. However, Qu Yuan’s answer is a clear-cut attitude, and his position is firm and uncompromising: “Ning went to Xiangliu, buried in the belly of the river fish. In the middle, can Anneng be white, and the dust of the world?"

It is Qu Yuan who is willing to die innocence, rather than the lofty moral character of the smashing of the sturdy character, together with its immortal poetry, makes him one of the best poets in the history of the Chinese nation.
