Playing badminton for the first time

Today, I play badminton with my mother. My mother asked me to serve first, but I couldn't stop it. My mother told me that when you serve, you must raise the racquet over your head, throw the ball to the air, and aim at it and fight it out. Mom also boasted that I played well.
