Laughter

I remember when I was in the first grade, my mother saw a post on the Internet saying that the material life in the impoverished mountainous areas of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau was very scarce: there was a child crying for an afternoon at home because he couldn’t afford a pencil of 2 cents. Seeing the dilapidated classroom, the photos of the broken clothes, my mother and I both cried sadly.

That post was written by some young volunteers. In order not to let people misunderstand, I don’t want everyone to donate money and encourage everyone to donate money. Because the children live in the mountains and there are no roads in the mountains, the traffic is very inconvenient, so we first hand over the things to the volunteers in Nanjing, then transport them there, and then the volunteers there will hand them over to the children.

On that Sunday, my mother and I went to buy stationery for the children. I brought all my pocket money, not enough for my mother to pay. We bought a school bag, a pencil, an eraser, a ruler, a pencil case, a book, and installed two big bags. My mother and I were so fast. The boss who sold the stationery knew that we were donating to the children in the impoverished mountains and gave us a purchase price. At that time, it was July and August. We were on the scorching sun and ran several places before being sent to volunteers.

The volunteer aunt saw us coming, especially happy, and said that I would like to thank us for the children in the mountains. Her silver bell-like laughter has remained in my mind until today. In front of my eyes, I also saw the happy smile of the children in the mountains when they got the gift, and they heard their "giggle" laughter.
