Reading notes on how steel is made
In the dusk of a winter day, bored, I opened up Ostrovsky's "How steel is made." Looking at it, Paul’s courage, self-improvement and optimism made me impressed.
The author of "How Steel is Made" is the masterpiece of the former Soviet writer Ostrovsky, a novel written in the form of Ostrovsky's autobiography.
He is the same as the protagonist Paul? Like Kochakin, the young family was poor and lost school. They had done small work, participated in the Red Army’s fight, and suffered injuries. Later, they were blind and blind. In the case of being in a desperate situation, he was not willing to eat, drink, breathe, and wait for death, so he picked up the only weapon that he could use - the pen, no, and the pen was not accurate, because he couldn’t even get the pen. It is by dictation, asking friends and relatives to record it. It lasted for three years, overcoming the unimaginable difficulties, creating this immortal masterpiece and realizing the ideal of returning to combat. This novel tells people through Paul's process of growing up from a working child to a proletarian warrior. One can only defeat oneself in the hardships of the revolution and overcome himself. Only by linking their pursuits with the interests of the motherland and the people. In order to create a miracle, it will grow into a steel warrior. This book creates Paul Kochakin, the conscious and selfless hero of the proletariat, and uses Kochakin's life experience as a clue to show the vast historical picture of the Soviet Union and the arduous struggle of the Soviet people at that time.
Among the many characters in this book, what I admire most is the protagonist of the book, Paul Kochakin. Paul Kochakin was born in a poor railway worker's family. He lost his father in his early years. He relied on his mother to make money for his laundry and raise him. When he was working in the cafeteria with his mother, Paul witnessed the hardships and poverty of the working people at the bottom, the brutality of the church, the inequality of the decaying society, and his own torture and deep suffering. The earth meets the suffering of the proletariat, and thus causes him to sprout the dark desire to break the bourgeois society, and finally he has become a Red Army. In the second half of the book, Paul’s right leg was blind, but he did not complain about it. Instead, he took the courage to smile every day with optimism and picked up a new one. Weapons - pens, restarted new battles.
In the long road of life, we will inevitably encounter failure or pain, but these are just the tempering that you must experience on the road to success. How is steel made? Steel has to undergo thousands of tempering to become a piece of steel that cannot be penetrated. Therefore, if you want to become a steel warrior like Paul, you must go through the test of life. Only after undergoing all kinds of hardships can you train yourself into a real steel!
