Is it possible to obtain eternal happiness, or is it a dream? For the past 18 years, Sonia Limb Moschi, a psychology professor at the University of California at the University of California, has been studying this subject. Her research report will even shake the views of people who have a negative view of the above issues. In an interview with US News, she mentioned that we are likely to break through the natural limits of sexuality. Why are some people happier than others?
Genes are the leading cause of this phenomenon. In other words, 50% of happiness depends on genes. When we are born, genes determine our happiness index, that is, even though our happiness will follow life. Pleasure and pain fluctuate, but it will eventually return to an original level (the level of happiness determined by the genes). Housing, marriage, appearance, wealth and health have little impact on happiness – only 10% – because humans can adapt quickly to the environment.
Some people smugly moved into big houses and living conditions improved, but they soon began to look forward to bigger homes – one more bedroom, another swimming pool, or whatever. But fundamentally, whether we are driving a dilapidated truck or a luxury Lexus sedan, whether we are suffering from high blood pressure or asthma, the ability to feel happy and the ability to become more and more happy will not Too big a difference.
But it's hard to realize that happy people are destined to do so?
Not destined. The 40% decision-making power of happiness is in our own hands. As long as we change the way we think and act, we can get happiness. It's like the weight. Although we set a “weight index” that is higher than the ideal weight, we exercise every day and pay attention to diet to ensure that weight is controlled below this standard.
I know that once you relax, your weight will skyrocket. The same is true of happiness. We can enhance happiness and make it break through the pre-set levels, but maintaining that level requires people to work tirelessly. Of course, just like daily exercise, that kind of effort becomes a habit, and over time, it no longer makes people feel bored. Those who are easily unhappy are not destined to do so. They just need to work harder to overcome many unfavorable factors and achieve happiness.
