"If you give me three days of light," after reading
The author of "If I give me three days of light," is Helen Keller. The book describes her events from childhood to big, from the misfortune brought by the 19-month high fever to the lectures after graduating from Harvard University. She tells people with love: reading, so that the soul is full and full.
When she was a child, Helen was a smart and lively girl. She would say some simple words in six months, and she would walk when she was just one year old. She is much more embarrassed than the average child, and she is much better at learning. However, the good times did not last long, and the happy time always ended too fast. In the spring filled with the songs and bright flowers of the lark, a high fever took away Helen's hearing and vision, and she also lost her language ability. Around the age of six, Helen’s bad temper is growing. Whenever someone doesn't understand her meaning, or makes her unhappy, as long as there is a little reason, she will be furious. The nameless fire burned her like a gunpowder bucket, and no one could touch it. It would be crazy to kick, make trouble, and swear until it was exhausted. The relatives pity that she is a disabled person, indulging her everywhere, indiscriminate, right or wrong, everything is listening to her. All this seems to indicate that Helen will be a useless "small tyrant."
But the arrival of Teacher Anne Sullivan changed the fate of Helen's life. Sullivan started by correcting her bad temper, teaching Helen's minimum civilization and etiquette, teaching her sign language, teaching her language and expression. With her help, Helen learned to spell Braille. Teacher Sullivan first placed an object on Helen's left hand, and then slowly, over and over again, spelled the name of the object in her right hand. At first, Helen just played spelling as a "finger game". After a few weeks, she realized that it was a sacred and solemn thing: spelling. Every day, they repeatedly learn, practice, and review spelling words. Once, Helen couldn't remember how to write a word, and then hit his head with his hand, and the teacher put her hand down and gently wrote the word in her hand. No matter how this "small tyrant" makes her trouble, manipulates her, and counts her, Sally's teacher has been unselfishly paying for Helen, helping her to study at Harvard University, taking her around, visiting celebrities, and giving speeches.
Helen Keller is a weak woman who lives in the dark but brings light to people. She has spent 88 years in the spring and autumn, but has survived the lonely years of 87 years of dull, silent and speechless. It is such a weak woman who is shocked by her amazing perseverance, graduated from Harvard University, which is difficult for healthy people to pursue, and uses the power of life to run around and create a charity to help the disabled. She not only proved the courage of mankind to overcome her destiny, but also recorded what she had experienced and encouraged her later generations.
I understand that the spirit of mankind far exceeds the limits of time and space. Love and courage are the foundation of our existence no matter what era. Physical defects are not terrible. The terrible thing is that the mind is "disabled". That is the real disability. We must learn to face the sudden blows and difficulties and overcome difficulties.
