The childhood in memory always has such a picture: a clear stream, a row of tall and straight sycamore trees along the stream, under the blue sky, my cousin and a small stool made of wood, trying to climb the branch to lick The nest of the bird that was very nice, the aunt and the neighbor's aunt talked about their homework while washing clothes by the river. Eight years later, I returned to my hometown, but I could not recognize it. What about the sycamore tree? What about the little bird? The creek turned into a smoky factory, and the small wooden stool became a painted chair. The formerly good neighbors have long since stopped farming, and they have all entered the factory and become as smart as urban people, and they are compared to the buildings and appliances in the home. No one noticed the disappearance of green, or they didn't care at all.

Darwin once said: Nature is a big ship, and human beings are just passengers on board. Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, people enjoy the convenience and happiness brought by high technology, but they have not found that these conveniences and happiness are exchanged at the cost of destroying the ecological environment, and carrying human and other biological life. The big ship has long been riddled with holes.

Not long ago, Thailand suffered the worst flooding in 50 years. At least 366 people were killed, 28 were affected, 12.5% ​​were flooded, 800,000 were damaged, and 720,000 were sick due to flooding. One figure shows the power of natural disasters. Who can imagine it? Is this natural disaster a real disaster? Relevant information shows that one of the causes of this disaster is that Thai people have long cut trees in the upper reaches of the river, destroy vegetation and cause serious soil erosion, and in the middle of the lake, the lake area is reduced, and the ability to regulate runoff is seriously reduced. Disasters caused by human ignorance like this are numerous in the world.

When nature has begun to retaliate against humanity, we finally wake up. So various conferences on the environment were held one after another, from the Kyoto meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to the famous Copenhagen, which aims to “stabilize the greenhouse gas content in the atmosphere at an appropriate level to prevent severe climate change from harming humans”. The World Climate Conference, from the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer to the Delhi Declaration, the term “environmental protection, low carbon, sustainable development” has gradually entered our lives. As the motherland and the future of the world, we should start from the little things around us, save a piece of paper, once a power, a drop of water.
