I. Project background and significance

In 2019, the Xi'an World Horticultural Exposition was just around the corner. This is another major international event held in China after the 2019 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2019 Shanghai World Expo.

In late July 2019, the Xi'an World Expo Taipei Flower Expo officially signed the "Cross-Strait Relay, Taipei Huabo Xi'an World Park Cooperation Memorandum", and the two sides exchanged on the basis of this cooperation. The cooperation with the Taiwan Flower Expo is a practical cooperation that promotes deep cultural exchanges between the two sides of the strait. At the same time, the World Expo should not only be a celebration event, but also fully exert its educational influence through the exchange of students across the Taiwan Strait. Activities, invited universities and middle school students to participate in the Xi'an World Expo, intimate contact with the charm of the ancient capital, blending with the local customs, truly practice the concept of low-carbon environmental protection, and become an important experience in their career.

Second, the purpose of the event

“It’s the reason for us to come together.” The cross-strait student messenger exchange event was hosted by the 2011 Xi’an International Horticultural Execution Committee, and was designed to carry out a series of online elections and offline promotional activities through the Huabo/Shiyuan Relay. Strengthen the cultural exchanges between young students on both sides of the strait, and promote cross-strait students to spread the concept of “green leading fashion” to Xi'an World Expo, and advocate “simple but not extravagant, low-carbon farewell to high consumption, return to nature, no decoration, green life has become the pursuit Fashion."

Third, the event time and selection method

The event and Sina.com jointly established the official website. All the selection activities were held on the Internet. In conjunction with the campus environmental protection lectures in seven cities across the country, more students were able to understand the World Park and practice environmental protection.

The selection of this activity will be conducted by means of online voting, and the students will be selected for the mainland. The students can participate in the election through “flower blessing”, “flower and life” and “flowering in the trend”. The selection is divided into two phases: time-limited activities and non-time-limited activities.

Time-limited activity stage: December 1st, 2019-December 31st, 20 students who submitted their works during this period and the most popular online voting will be used as cross-strait student ambassadors to Taiwan to watch Taipei Flower Bo, and at the same time 3 - - 5 days of cultural exchange activities.

Non-limited time activities: January-March 2019, during which the top 100 students with the highest number of votes in the activities of “Flower Blessing”, “Flower and Life” and “Flower in the Trend” Will be invited to Xi'an to see the World Park, participate in cultural exchange activities, and feel the modern style of the ancient city.

The event is open to all major and middle school students with good style, strong communication skills and talents.

Voting: Voting does not require registration, but submitting authors cannot vote for their work.

Six, matters needing attention

Within the scope of the award, if the same number of votes appears, the work in the system that first reaches the number of votes is selected.

After the event, if the work is selected but has not received the award notification, please contact the event organizing committee.

Students who participate in the event and are selected in the time-limited activity stage shall provide the required files and certificates in accordance with the requirements of the Organizing Committee and go through the relevant procedures for going to Taiwan. Refusal of the provider or failure to provide the provider on time is considered a waiver and the number of places is postponed.
