Pushing the door of Harvard

She is a girl who is passionate about informatics. She is the first person to teach American students when she goes abroad through the second year of Hangzhou No. 2 Middle School. She is also the first high school student in Zhejiang Province to be admitted to Harvard University. From the beginning of her goal, she continued to work hard and eventually opened the door to Harvard for herself.

After 90, she was born in a happy family in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Her parents are software engineers. She has been a long-time deaf, and she is very interested in informatics. Even as soon as she thinks she can program, she will involuntarily rise up, but her parents don't want her to get involved in this hard-working industry, but to train her in another direction. When she was a child, she played the piano, danced ballet, wrote poetry, and arranged music. Everything was easy. But these are not what she likes, and none of them can exceed her love of informatics. In the end, she convinced her parents to start to contact informatics in the sixth grade.

In the third day of junior high school, she participated in the American Informatics Olympiad and entered the top 24 of the training team, which made her confidence multiply and move toward a higher ladder. After entering high school, she was enrolled in a competition class, and life was closely related to information science. When she was a senior, she won the first prize of the National Youth Informatics Olympic League. With the award-winning experience, and the recommendation of foreign friends who met in the third day of the competition, she successfully received an invitation letter from the A-star Information Alliance of the United States, and was interested in participating in the information science competition for the 4th to 11th grades in the United States. Students teach. That year, she was 15 years old, and she was enrolled in the Hangzhou Foreign Languages School. She taught her a fluent English and had no obstacles to communicate with American students. But of the 20 students she was responsible for, the youngest was in the fourth grade, and the biggest one was the same as her, which made it difficult for her to control the atmosphere of the classroom and gave her a big problem.

Even in the face of setbacks, she still clearly knows what her goal is, so this situation only appears in the first class. In the second class, she and the students "three chapters of the law," and the "reward and punishment" system was written on the blackboard. American students are very loyal to the amount, and after her appointment, they are no longer naughty. This change has made her subsequent teaching more exceptionally smooth. In the two weeks of teaching in the United States, she spent all her spare time on preparing for the lesson. The students she taught had scored almost all of the best scores in the three parallel classes, which also earned her a salary of $2,000.

The success of the American class tour has given her life another goal. She dreams that one day she can become a top student in the United States. In order to realize this dream, she worked harder not only to participate in the school's debate club, to go to Shanghai to participate in the English-language debate, but also to participate in Berkeley's famous SPARC Humanities Summer Camp and Harvard Campus, which made her high school life. Become busy and wonderful. But this is only part of it. She was also invited by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to participate in the competition and won the second place in the North American Programming Invitational, which exceeded most of the universities from Harvard, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. Team. In 2019 and 2019, she participated in the National Informatics Olympiad for two consecutive years, winning both titles.

Heavenly rewards, her efforts make her close to the dream. In 2019, she took the American University Foundation exam and scored 5 full marks. At the same time, her experience in the competition and her thoughts and attitudes towards life have added a lot to her Harvard application. During the interview, her computer level was recognized by the interviewer as the top female programmer of the same age in the United States. Every year, Harvard University enrolled in China with one or two “advanced application” college students. When she was about to go away in 2019, she received a letter of acceptance from Harvard University. The dust settled at this moment.

She is Guo Wenjing, the first student in Zhejiang Province to be admitted in advance by Harvard University. Someone asked her: "How did you send yourself to Harvard University?" At this time, Guo Wenjing always said indifferently: "I always know what I want and know what I have to face. When the goal becomes clear When it's clear, the dream is not so far away. The only thing I can do is to work hard and stick to the dream step by step."

Yes, as long as there are goals in the heart, the world will make way for you, but the key is whether you can take the first step firmly and bravely approach the end of your dreams a little, until you push the door open.
