In July 1946, he was born in a charity hospital in Manhattan, New York. Unfortunately, he was injured in the facial nerve by the medicinal forceps, causing partial muscle spasm on the left cheek, sagging the left eyelid and the left lip, and the language ability was greatly affected.

In his childhood, he has been living with a nanny and only sees his parents on weekends. Because of the appearance, everyone does not like him, and is not willing to play with him. He is very eager to get the friendship and care of others, and is appreciated and respected by others, but people always turn him out.

At the age of 11 years, my parents parted ways in constant quarrels, and the only mother who made him feel warm left him. The days with my father are not as warm and beautiful as I imagined. Although he did not believe in fate, he was not willing to lose, but he was rejected by the University of Miami by three credits.

Then he came to New York. The mother who is obsessed with the astrology divination asserts that he will become a star, but not an actor, but a writer. So he followed the advice of his mother, temporarily gave up the dream of being an actor, and studied the writing of the script. He thought that people always refused me when auditioning - because my eyes are drooping because my voice is too low. Since I can't change my external image, I always have the ability to modify the script I created myself!

In 1974, he was inspired to create a script called "Rocky." At that time, many producers were very optimistic about the script, but because he insisted on acting as the male lead, he was rejected by all the producers. He was reluctant to visit the more than 500 film companies in the United States with his script. Finally, after being rejected 1850 times, a film company was touched by his sincerity and agreed to his request. The film was filmed in a month at a very low cost, but no one thought that this movie would become a dark horse in the history of Hollywood movies.

In 1976, the film's box office broke through $225 million, winning the Oscar for best film and best director award, and nominated for the best actor and best screenwriter. The famous director and producer Frank Coppola sincerely praised: "I really hope that this film was taken by me."
