When the East meets the West

Today I am here to tell you about my career as a designer and also to talk about my experience as a British ambassador for a great project in the UK.

This wonderful experience started when I was sixteen and a half years old. So far, I have been designing for about forty years, but my passion for design is increasing. Listen to your talk about design education. This is very important because I started a company myself. I didn't go through a very good education. Instead, I left school and started a business. It was basically self-study for me. I take everything around me to learn the knowledge and discover what I like best about what I like best. Fortunately my mother is my mentor, she is very good. Because in the early stages of life, for example, when I was sixteen and a half years old, your mind was very open to accept everything around you, so you need to be guided to be helped. When I started my business, I mainly worked in the UK, but my first project was in New York. I remember being nervous when I was on the plane. I was going to meet with these customers in New York, but I was very excited when I got off the plane. I realized that I can work in any corner of the world, the world is getting smaller and smaller, nothing can stop me. That is the beginning of my international business.

Now we have fifty-three projects around the world, half of which are in Asia and some in China. I remember the first book long ago, "The East Meets the West," which is why I am passionate about the East. I can consider it from a global perspective and integrate the Eastern and Western cultures to make my heart happy. I really like working in China and Asia and I am very happy. I am an ambassador in a great project. I was very excited when I was asked to participate. Not only is I proud of being a British, I also like to be able to talk about creativity in this way. Because how to communicate ideas with other countries is very important for the development of the world, and it is also important for the development of bilateral relations. Interestingly, earlier this year, Prince William and I were in Shanghai. What is very exciting is that many very good people, architects, educators, designers, perfume perfumers, are all in one room. . We didn't have such an opportunity before, because we all focused on busy work and neglected the surrounding environment. In Shanghai, one of the world's greatest cities, has the opportunity to talk about our industry and our business. We are beginning to realize that there are so many different cross-border cooperation and so many different ways to broaden our horizons and horizons. We can encourage new companies and encourage young people and students. The week in Shanghai was really exciting. When the best side of the UK is combined with the best of China, from my personal point of view, it is very magical, and this is one of the best combinations. I believe that when we have a common vision, mutual respect, mutual trust, and some form of loyalty to each other, great projects and ideas, and passionate design ideas arise.

For all young people who are watching this show, or young people on the scene, when you are deciding on career development, or thinking about what kind of person you want to be, I can only talk to you about my own experiences. I can tell you that I am excited to jump out of bed every morning because I am passionate and I like my job. If you can find something that will make you passionate, what you need is a passion. You need a lot of courage to face everyday work. You need to believe in yourself. Only by believing in yourself will others believe in you. Sincerity is also very important, and sincerely face everything you do. There is also determination and determination is also important, because you have to decide what kind of person you want to be. There is also tenacity and tenacity is not a bad thing, it is a good thing.
