Sanjiang Drum Tower

I have lived in the Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County since childhood, a place full of poetry and picturesque scenery, and the ethnic characteristics here are so unique and so mysterious. The most impressive drum house of the non-Xi people that I admire is the one.

According to incomplete statistics in 2003, there are 169 drum towers in Sanjiang. I have only been to a few places. The main drum towers are: the Majiu Drum Tower, which is the highest nine-story flying raft, and the Liangzhai Drum Tower in Linxi Township.

Built at the end of November 2002, Sanjiang Drum Tower is the “world's best” – it is the tallest drum tower in the world and the “youngest” drum tower in the existing Drum Tower.

This drum tower is located in the square of the county town of Hedong. It is located in the higher area of ​​Sanjiang County, so no matter where you stand, you can take a look at this majestic building.

On the outermost side of the Drum Tower is a patch of grass and a small garden surrounded by cement. This decoration makes the whole place elegant and quiet.

The outside floor is made of pebbles in different colors. I have to admire the designers' superb skills. The pieces of people think that they are just ordinary stones, but the designers have put them into a perfect "rice map". It is said that these bumps have quality stones and can massage the feet! Therefore, regardless of day and night, there are nearby residents and tourists who are doing “free massage” here.

At the end of the "Taoxiangtu" is this majestic Drum Tower. The entire drum tower is dominated by wood, so the entire drum tower is painted in gold that is similar in color to the wood. The building is about 30 meters high and has a total of 27 floors. The lower part is composed of four large fir columns, with a center frame and 24 firs as sub-columns to form a square hall. On both sides of the door are "window walls" made of sturdy wooden pillars and hollow diamond-shaped planks. At the top of the door is a beautifully carved "Shuanglong play bead map". This picture occupies three layers of heavy shovel. Therefore, in order to make the appearance beautiful and reasonable for construction, the above floors use "skew construction" - ―The construction method of the floor below the floor offset. The first, second and third floors are made of dragon-shaped flying locusts, and the other 24 layers are all flying horns. The two-story pavilion on the top is painted with flowers and birds. Looking from a distance, the entire drum tower gradually became smaller and rounder from the bottom to the top, very spectacular.

The earliest Drum Tower was used to take a rest, so the general drum house is a large hall with a small pavilion. Later, the Yi people regarded the Drum Tower as a venue for discussion and entertainment, so they improved the Drum Tower more elegantly and beautifully. The technical level and immortal artistic value of Sanjiang Drum Tower fully reflects the brilliant achievements of the Drum Tower and the great wisdom and strength of the Yi people.

There are stairs inside the Sanjiang Drum Tower that lead to the top floor. Every time you go upstairs, the scenery you see is more and more beautiful.
