Xi'an

Xi'an is my hometown and she is one of the seven ancient capitals of China. The 12 dynasties such as Qin, Han, Yi and Tang, which are famous in Chinese history, are here. The famous ancient "Silk Road" is based on Xi'an. With its long history and splendid culture, Xi'an has become a famous historical city.

Let me first talk about the clock tower in the center of the city. Because there is a big clock on the upper floor, it is called the clock tower every day. The base of the clock tower is square, blue brick, and the building is a brick and wood structure. The three-story blue-green eaves are tilted up on the corners, and there are eight exquisite woodcarving beasts on it, which are very realistic. There are bronze-colored wood carvings on the top and bottom, and the figures and flowers and birds are vivid. The red columns between the floors, the red doors and windows and the yellow walls are beautiful together. The best part is that the gourd on the roof is coated with a layer of extremely thin gold foil, which shines in the sunlight. Looking from afar, the clock tower is simple, solemn, magnificent and spectacular.

Around the clock tower is the ancient castle building in China, which is relatively intact. The city wall is very tall and sturdy, with a circumference of 14 kilometers. There is a city gate on each side. There are main buildings, arrow towers and towers on the door. It is very spectacular. The city wall is 12 meters high, the top width is 12-14 meters, and the bottom thickness is 15-18 meters. The walls are covered with blue bricks, with corner buildings at the four corners of the city and 98 piers, which form a strict defense system.

A bird's eye view of the south of the city, the most striking is the big wild goose pagoda. Located 4 km east of Xi'an City, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is built for the preservation of Buddhist classics brought back from India and other countries. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is 64 meters high and has 7 layers of square pyramidal shape. The tower body is made of blue bricks. Each floor has wooden structures such as pillars, arches and columns. Each floor has arches on all four sides. There are stairs in the tower that can be hovered upwards. The spires are gourd-like. Located in the south of the city, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda is slightly smaller than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a dense brick structure with 15 floors. During the Ming Dynasty, the top of the earthquake tower was shocked. Now only 12 layers are intact and 43 meters high. The higher the tower, the smaller the height, and the height of the 12th floor is only half a person. If you go to the 15th floor, you can't climb it.

There are countless places of interest, monuments and cultural treasures in Xi'an. Known as the essence of the stone, the Xi'an Beilin, the largest of the Chinese imperial cemetery, the Zhaoling Mausoleum, which is the largest in the Chinese imperial cemetery, is known as one of the eight wonders of the world. The Qin Dynasty is a treasure trove of Qin dynasty sculptures. The group of Fuling, Huaqing Pool with beautiful scenery, gorgeous pavilions and hot springs is the essence.
