Food Savings Proposal

Along with the spring breeze of March and the hustle and bustle of the Spring Festival, the theme of the “Civilization, Diligence and Self-improvement” theme education month of Huaiyin Teachers College is in full swing. “Diligence” once again constitutes a beautiful landscape of the campus. Diligent? waste? The two cannot but let us think deeply.

In the college cafeteria, have you ever thrown a few gimmicks on the table? Will you dump the food a few mouthfuls? ...... The Student Union’s classmates found that an average of 5 students had one more classmate who had to dump a small bowl of food and dumped 1/3 bowl of food. In a short while, the bucket is full. It’s a pity to watch the leftovers in the bucket full of barrels.

The big slogans and warning signs such as "please save food" are hung in a conspicuous position in the cafeteria, but the food can't escape the waste of bad luck. However, when we throw away a hoe, let us think of the world. Many parents may be working hard for a meal for the whole family?

Is food really so abundant? In fact, in developing countries, one out of every five people is chronically malnourished, and 20% of the population in developing countries is food insecure. Famine has become the No. 1 killer of the Earth, killing an average of 10 million people each year. Life, due to direct or indirect malnutrition, about one death every four seconds in the world!

The social food situation is heartbreaking. So many people are dying of hunger on the verge of death. It is worthwhile for our current college students to think deeply about reversing the concept of consumption and saving food.

"When you look at the former sages and homes, you will be ruined by extravagance." Classmates, in order to keep the poor families away from hunger as soon as possible, let us continue to carry forward the fine style of hard work, diligence and thrift, be proud of diligence, be ashamed of waste, consciously resist the wind of extravagance and corruption, start from the subtleties, and take practical actions. Do the leader of building a “saving campus” and make due contributions to building a civilized and harmonious campus!
