One volunteer activity

An interesting volunteer event was organized in front of our community building today.

A few days ago, the person in charge of the activity of the community posted a leaflet with relevant content on the wall of each building in our community. For me who have never participated in even volunteer activities, this is a good opportunity for me to open my eyes.

So yesterday I made a few alarm clocks to prevent sleeping too much and missed this volunteer activity, because the time of the event was very early. I didn't expect them to come in handy this morning - I woke up before they got into trouble. I am really not sleepy. When I have watched the sunrise and finished the dog, I can’t help but start thinking about it.

I was with a few red hats, followed by a leader wearing the same red hat. In the middle of a group of people, volunteers were doing things for everyone. As for what to do, I have not participated in it, nor do I know what I can do.

It’s hard to get to the start, I set off very early. I did not expect that many people had gathered in a circle surrounded by wooden tables. I plunged into the crowd and squeezed through the crowd like a muddy loach. It turned out that everyone was just scattered around the wooden table, there was a large open space in the middle, and several people stood sparsely. I started from the table closest to the entrance, looking in rows.

I remember that the first table was neatly placed with a bunch of needles and the like, and a red card was placed on the table, which read "Sewing Group." There are two stacks of paper and a pile of pens on the table, and two middle-aged women sit there and manage things. Needless to say, they must be the two leader of the sewing group. I politely asked and asked, "Auntie, what are you doing?" The two women told me very kindly: "We are free to sew off the cloth, clothes and dolls or anything else. If you want to join our sewing group, just fill out these forms and you can join them. There is a pen for you!" In fact, I was afraid of sharp things since I was a child, especially the needle. And I am often pinched, it will bleed, actually I am dizzy, so I immediately quit.

I didn’t remember anything about the table. I didn’t remember any names. Anyway, I joined three groups. I usually don’t have time to help the children’s “helping children group”, responsible for maintaining community civilization and health. The "sports group" also has a "manual group" that can do manual labor, cut paper flowers, and compile bead strings. I remember that when I was filling out the volunteer group volunteer list, I didn't know which TV station reporter came over to interview me, followed by an uncle who was carrying a camera. They asked me a few questions in a hurry. As for how I answered at the time, I didn’t even have any impression. I just remembered when the reporter asked me what the group was doing. I probably answered this question: "Hey, ah, It is to help take care of them and make them happy, huh, huh ~~". I think my expression and posture at the time was like a female duck that was forced to pinch my stomach. As for why there are so many people who want to interview me, it is probably because there are no children who have filled out the volunteer list at the time, except for me, although I think I am no longer a child.

I even saw an acquaintance, the grandmother who is measuring blood pressure next to the "medical group", the two big brothers and partners who just cut my hair yesterday in the "barber group", one of the "maintenance group" for everyone to repair the bicycle. Uncle, this uncle lives near our building and is always happy.

This is really a good volunteer activity. I secretly made up my mind, and when I grow up, I must not forget the power of helping others.
