College Students' Thoughts on Joining the Party on the Twelfth Five-Year Plan

The fifth plenary meeting of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing from October 15th to 18th. The plenary session heard and discussed the work report commissioned by the Central Political Bureau and reviewed and approved the "Proposal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the Twelfth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development." The plenary session pointed out that the formulation of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" should focus on scientific development and accelerate the transformation of economic development. The "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" came out and received attention from all walks of life. I also paid attention to the information and interpretation of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" through the newspaper website and other resources, especially the financial aspects.

China's economy is about to enter the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" stage. The emergence of a new pattern will inevitably put forward new requirements for the financial industry. Coupled with the outbreak of the international financial crisis, the European and American banking circles have begun to fully reflect on the bank's management model, international finance. Major changes are taking place in the regulatory framework and rules, which will have a significant impact on the external operating environment and long-term competitiveness of the Chinese banking industry. This is the main background for the long-term financial development plan in the 12th Five-Year Plan. One of the objectives of the 12th Five-Year Plan is to make significant progress in the strategic adjustment of the economic structure and to continuously deepen reform and opening up so that China can make substantial progress in transforming its economic development mode. In this process, the financial industry's support and guidance role has naturally become an unavoidable issue for the financial industry. At the same time, the “deepening financial system reform” and the “going out” strategy are accelerated, and for the financial industry itself. It means that future development will write a new chapter.

Looking into the future, in the process of strategic adjustment of the economic structure, the financial industry has a heavy responsibility and at the same time has great potential. Finance is at the heart of the modern economy. During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the economy is developing steadily and rapidly, not blindly pursuing speed, and paying more attention to structural adjustment. The financial industry should give full play to the guiding role of credit and the resource allocation function of the capital market, and shoulder the strategic adjustment of the economic structure. At the same time, the strategic adjustment of the economic structure means new business spaces and models, which means the arrival of new development opportunities. Constantly deepening reform and opening up and deepening financial system reform will be a historic opportunity for the future development of the financial industry. During this period of opportunity, as a financial professional college student, it is better to seize the opportunity and work hard during the opportunity period of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. Now that I am a junior, when I graduated, it was the promotion period of the implementation of the policies of the 12th Five-Year Plan. It is also the time for us to show our talents. However, I understand that we are currently a financial university. The employment problem of undergraduates is still grim. In my opinion, if a college student can't find a job, then how can he realize his own value and contribute to the development of the country? I think that college students are employed, especially financial students. The employment issue is also a very interesting issue. Judging from the current development level and talent level of China's financial industry, we still have a big gap compared with the developed countries. It is necessary to strengthen the exploration and cultivation of financial talents and increase the employment of college students. I believe that in the following aspects, efforts by all parties are needed:

First, the employment of college students should seek a breakthrough in the concept of employment. First, university graduates must clarify the purpose of employment, and do not talk about ideals and contributions. The first problem for college students to solve employment is the problem of eating. Under the current national and even global employment situation, college students should lower their horizons, no longer The pride of the sky is just the ordinary source of the society. The second is to advocate the concept of first employment and then choose a career. College students must be mindful, correctly understand themselves and the employment environment, eliminate blindness, and cherish every employment opportunity. Postgraduate students should also handle the relationship between postgraduate study and employment, and don't easily miss out on rare employment opportunities.

Second, the employment of college students should seek a breakthrough in the transformation from a single skill type to a compound type. First, college students who have the strength to study at school should learn more skills to increase employment opportunities. Second, it is necessary to fully implement and improve the "double certificate" system for graduation certificates and vocational qualification certificates in higher vocational colleges. For example, there are many qualifications in finance, such as securities qualification certificates and bank qualification certificates. These certificates are both practical and beneficial. They are based on social needs and offer relevant courses and actively organize students to obtain qualifications for employment. I have been qualified before.

Third, the employment of college students should break through in the transition from a part-time job-based employment to an entrepreneurial-oriented employment. Guide college students to actively participate in the free entrepreneurship training provided by the government, combine their own knowledge from the main business, self-employment, change from “seeking a job” to “making a rice bowl” mode, promoting employment through entrepreneurship, and attracting more college students through successful entrepreneurship. Employment, set off a wave of entrepreneurship to get rich.

Fourth, the employment of college students should make breakthroughs in the full use of human resources. First, colleges and universities should establish a talent pool, and deliver the best talents to enterprises and other employers, and carry out key training. Second, enterprises and schools implement joint education, and cultivate and apply talents for enterprises. The third is to use and further improve the existing employment support policies, encourage and guide university students to employment at the grassroots level in urban and rural areas, and to employ small and medium-sized enterprises and non-public enterprises; encourage key enterprises and research projects to attract more college students. Fourth, through cooperation with more countries, we will broaden the channels for university students to go abroad for further study and work, and let more and more students choose their jobs on a global scale. I have plans to study abroad. I hope to learn the most advanced financial technology and financial knowledge from abroad and gain experience. Of course, I also hope to get the support of the country, but at present I can only go through my own expenses. Although my family background is OK, I really feel a pity when I see students who are as eager for knowledge as I want to study but face high costs. I also hope that the country can further support the financial industry. Learn outstanding students and set up scholarships to help outstanding students develop further.

As a university student in this important opportunity period, we should use our own professional knowledge to build a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society and accelerate the transformation of economic development as an important focus of learning; insist on reform and opening up as an accelerated economic transformation. The powerful driving force of development, and the use of its own value to contribute to society.
