From another point of view, the Golden Bay Hotel has insufficient hardware facilities. It has been in business for more than a decade, the rooms are slightly narrow, and the facilities are aging, although some rooms have been newly renovated, but the layout These are difficult to change, and I believe that the defects of the hardware facilities can be compensated only by providing better services to the guests. Furthermore, through internships at the front desk, it is found that employees are highly mobile, especially in the field. Perhaps this is a common phenomenon in hotels, but this will inevitably lead to the loss of talents and waste of resources, requiring the hotel to invest more time. And energetically continually nurture new employees.
Through this short-term internship at the Golden Bay Hotel, I was able to understand the operation process of the front desk more intuitively, and also recognized the importance of management practice and further laid the foundation for future theoretical study. At the same time, in the internship, I also met many colleagues and friends.
Part 3: Self-identification of hotel interns
I am a senior university hotel management major. When I am preparing to graduate, I will go to the ** Hotel for a one-month internship at the school. During the internship, I will go to the hotel's guest room, catering department and marketing department. These three departments have studied, and this internship has benefited me a lot. It is a good opportunity for my university to study book knowledge for four years.
First of all, I went to the hotel to study at the hotel. In the room department, I learned how to clean the room and check the room to the sweeper sister and room attendant. And to other staff members to understand the daily work procedures of the room department. During the study of the room department, I learned the most basic bed making, bathroom cleaning and simple room service methods in the hotel. Chapter 4: Self-identification of hotel interns
I went to the Phoenix Hotel in Guangzhou on July 14, 2006 - October 31, 2006. During this time, I gained a lot. Hotel service is a mixture of tangible products and intangible services. The standard of hotel service quality evaluation is the "satisfaction" of the guests. Hotels in the buyer's market should regard customer demand as the starting point for marketing work. The front office is the crowning touch of hotel management. I have benefited from this internship at the Phoenix Hotel for nearly four months. The hotel is equal to the epitome of a society. This internship is undoubtedly an important opportunity for me to enter the society in the near future.
1. Improved communication skills: As a front desk receptionist, as the frontline staff of the hotel, the contact with the guests is face-to-face and is the most direct. Because as a receptionist, I have to receive different guests every day to face different events. And most of the hotel's grassroots employees are now mostly secondary school or college degree. I think that the current lack of hotel industry is still highly educated professionals. However, even with a high degree of education, it is still impossible to become a manager. As a manager, you still have to have years of work experience. But through this nearly four months of study and improvement, I have made great progress both in psychology and in my mind. The deepest feeling at the Phoenix Hotel is its staff management system. Since the last hotel business internship was at the Garden Hotel, although the internship time was only one month, it was greatly affected. The Garden Hotel is a five-star hotel managed by the Hotel Management Group, and the Garden Hotel has a long operating history and has formed a relatively complete and strict staff management system. Compared to the Garden Hotel, the Phoenix Hotel is a very young hotel. The Phoenix Hotel has only been in operation for three years, and its management system and operating system are still not perfect. Coupled with the Phoenix family hotel is a "family business", not managed by a hotel management company, most of the senior management staff lacks hotel management experience. Therefore, the Phoenix Hotel is inferior to the old five-star hotel in terms of the professional quality of its employees. Too loose employee management system leads to loose employees' work mentality, which will undoubtedly reduce the quality of service for employees. If a five-star hotel has only a five-star appearance and lacks a five-star interior, it is not enough to be called a five-star hotel.
2. Suggestion: For this internship, due to various reasons, there is a certain degree of communication with the internship unit. From the beginning, the internship unit enters the internship unit, and finally enters the internship unit by signing the employee. The personnel department of the Phoenix Hotel asked us to sign a one-year contract with the reason that you promised to work here and you will come in.
