In the second semester of the school year, the teaching and research work of chemistry mainly has the following aspects:
Taking the new curriculum reform as the top priority of the semester work, we will conscientiously complete the implementation and evaluation of the new chemistry curriculum in the middle school, and do a good job in the organization and study of the new curriculum standards for high school chemistry.
In response to the "3+2 program" of the new college entrance examination in our province, we will strengthen the research on the relationship between the college entrance examination reform, curriculum reform and teaching reform, ensure that the quality of compulsory and elective teaching in high school is improved, and strive to achieve good results in this year's college entrance examination.
Make full use of the teaching and research base of chemistry, strengthen the school-based curriculum research of the base, and use a variety of methods to train the chemistry teachers in the field to enhance the teaching and research level of the base chemistry teaching and research group.
We will strengthen research on topics and carry out multi-faceted and multi-faceted special-purpose research on implementation, evaluation, and teaching techniques in the new curriculum reform.
Strengthen the training of young chemistry teachers , focus on the activities of the Qinghua Association, actively carry out theoretical studies, business learning, and modern teaching technology learning, and continuously improve the teaching level of young teachers .
Do a good job in the organization of the 2003 provincial Sino-Chemical Competition and the High School Chemical Olympiad.
Make full use of the good basic conditions of the "Chemistry Studio", strengthen the special study of "using advanced teaching media, using rich online resources, and optimizing the chemistry teaching process", and run the chemistry teacher's own webpage.
The specific work is described as follows:
First, the new course test
1. Before the new semester, a new round of training for the new middle school chemistry course will be conducted in a variety of forms, including expert lectures, research classes, experts, teachers, and students.
2. Continue to carry out the implementation and evaluation test of the new middle school chemistry curriculum.
In terms of implementation, we will continue to strengthen the teaching methods and classroom teaching research, summarize the experience and achievements of the new curriculum implementation in the past year, and compile the research results of teachers into monographs.
In terms of evaluation, we will expand the research team of the “Research on the Growth Process of Students' Chemistry Learning Process” and strengthen the process evaluation of chemistry learning; do a good job in the use and discussion of this year's “Chemical Examination Description”, and do a good job in the final evaluation of chemistry learning in China. The curriculum reform has been successfully completed, and it has also made a good start for the curriculum reform work next year.
3. The “High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard Learning Group” was established, and learning activities were regularly organized in various forms to study the “High School Chemistry New Curriculum Standards”.
At the end of April or early March, researchers in tissue chemistry teaching participated in the new curriculum training activities organized by the provincial society; in April, they conducted new courses on the XXX City Wujin and Jintan areas.
Second, regular work
1. In the first grade, we will use the final chemistry teaching survey test questions of the first semester of this school year, and do a good job in the investigation and study of junior high school chemistry teaching. Conduct a quality analysis of the teaching at the beginning of the school.

Third, the subject research
1. Focusing on the reform of the new curriculum in the middle school, under the direct guidance of the National Curriculum Group and the leadership of the Research Department of the China Normal University, a systematic, serialized, multi-faceted and multi-angle research network will be launched.
2. Under the leadership of the research group of "Scientific Inquiry Teaching Research on Science Education with the Core of Scientific Inquiry", the sub-disciplinary group of "Scientific Inquiry Strategy Research in Middle School Chemistry Teaching" was officially launched.
3. Focusing on the reform of the new high school curriculum, we will actively seek research topics, organize research teams as soon as possible, and conduct special research.
4. Conduct research on the topic of "Analysis of the status quo and development strategies of young chemistry teachers in middle schools in XXX cities and municipalities", find a higher-level linked unit, and officially launch research projects.
Fourth, discipline competition
From January to April, I will do a good job in organizing the competition for the 2003 National Middle School Student Chemistry Competition in Jiangsu Province.
Before February, carefully prepare for the 2003 high school chemical olympic competition. In May, the organization of the 2003 High School Chemistry Olympiad was completed.
V. Base construction
1. Strengthen the teaching and research of the chemical group of the subject base, and the province's Changzhong, Yizhong, Sanzhong, Tianzhong and Xinqiao Middle Schools focus on “how to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching” and “the study of the chemical examination questions in the past five years”. In order to strengthen teaching research as a strategy, classroom teaching efficiency is a key issue, improve teaching quality, and strive for good results in college entrance examination.
2. XXX City No. 1 Middle School, No. 3 Middle School, Tianzhong, Experimental Middle School, 15th Middle School and Xinqiao Middle School will jointly carry out the implementation and evaluation of the new curriculum together with the teaching and research section. Base schools must play a leading role by studying and accumulating experience in curriculum reform.
3. Strengthen exchanges between schools in the chemical science base, conduct lectures, discuss each other, and exchange theoretical learning experiences. Organize to go out and study.
Six, teacher training
1. At the beginning of the school year, all grades focused on the implementation and evaluation of the new curriculum of the National Chemistry and the analysis of the quality of the first semester of the school year, and carried out a large-scale teacher training activities.
2. Strengthen the training of young chemistry teachers , focusing on the activities of the Qinghua Association. Through theoretical study, business study, modern teaching technology learning, classroom teaching research, organization and study and other forms, the teaching level and teaching and research ability of young chemistry teachers are continuously improved.
3. With the "Chemistry Studio" as the basic strength, it organizes one or two computer learning technologies and network resource utilization technology learning activities on average every month. Maintain and improve the chemistry teaching resource library; create three pages of “XXX City Chemistry Teaching and Research”, “Chemical New Course Experiment” and “XXX City Chemical Studio” with the characteristics of XXX city chemistry teaching and research.
