After setbacks, I began to think about the problem. Many people have been unable to get started for a year and a half. I found that the knowledge I learned in the classroom seemed thin, so I began to re- learn and study the materials thermodynamics, metallurgy, material structure, quantum mechanics, and physical chemistry. The National Library has access to the latest literature. Moreover, I realized the limitations of my personal abilities, searched for all aspects of the information on the Internet, and communicated with classmates and teachers in the same field across the country, while consulting and learning from the teachers in the field. Slowly, I finally felt that I could see the light from the dead end, the mood was no longer so depressed, and the subject matter improved. I deeply understand that scientific research must have a peaceful attitude and correct thinking. I believe this will make me less detours in the future.

Second, use dialectical materialism to guide practice

This semester is the third semester of my application for membership in the party. Due to insufficient thinking about reporting to the party, I have not been able to become the latest activist to become a probationary member. I feel very sorry about this, but I also realize that I report to the party in a timely manner about the importance of my own state of mind. During the semester, I passed the training of activists and participated in some activities organized by the party branch, and I did my part in the Sichuan earthquake donation activities. I have a deeper understanding of party history and party spirit. In particular, we can use materialist dialectical thinking to guide practice and life. This is a big improvement for me. In the future, I should move closer to the party organizations and strive to become a part of the party as soon as possible.
