Reading "Screaming Madman's Diary"

Two days ago, the teacher asked us to read Lu Xun's book, and my mother asked me for a short story collection, "Scream."

The first story in the book is The Madman's Diary, which describes a psychological activity of a patient with a so-called "forced madness." The "madman" recognizes that the reality is a world of "cannibalism", and the feudal system is a social system of "cannibalism." He looked at history in the middle of the night and saw the whole book saying "cannibalism." He eventually believed in the future society "can not afford to eat people" and shouted the call to "save the child."

I have only seen this story for three or four times. The fear of the protagonist made me understand the terrible and hateful of the feudal society. His series of imaginations made me creepy! I am still young and can't fully understand it, but at least I know that in that dark age, the terrible phenomenon of eating people really exists. In that dark age, people's safety is not guaranteed!

"Save the child...", the last four words emerged in my mind. The meaning of these four words must not be that simple? Should it be more than just physical saving? What else? Spiritual salvation? Maybe there are more things I don't understand...
