Today, we learned the sixth lesson, which is the writer Ji Xianlin’s Missing Mother.

In this article, Ji Xianlin left his mother at the age of six. When he was in the second year of college, his mother abandoned and lived only forty years old. When the mother died, he couldn’t eat, and he was sleepless and cried for several days. Since then, he has lost his mother. When he thinks about his mother, he will burst into tears and feel very uncomfortable. After he arrived in Germany, he often dreamed of his mother and motherland. In the four touching diaries written in November 1935, I read that he not only loves his mother, but also loves his motherland and his friends in the motherland. After that, he wrote an article called "Looking for Dreams", expressing his love for the two mothers.

After reading this article, I feel that I must learn from Ji Xianlin. I sometimes lose my temper to my mother; sometimes I am lazy and don't study harder. He lost his mother from childhood and could not get the care of his mother, but he was not affected. Instead, he heated his love, missed his mother, studied harder, took a doctorate, and went to Germany to study. When he was in Göttingen, he did not forget his mother. In the article "Permanent Repentance," he said: "The biggest regret of my life is that I have not been able to honor my mother." Such a university student has achieved so many achievements, and finally regretted that he did not honor his mother. This is incredible!

I want to learn from Ji Yulin in my life. I have been honouring my mother since childhood and helping my mother to do some housework as much as she can, even if she is just helping her to make a cup of hot tea and a pair of slippers. Moreover, I have grown up and can do some complicated housework. Otherwise, if she died as early as the author's mother, she would have no time to honor her.
