After reading "Young Werther's Worries"

Recently, through the leisure of the holidays, I read the work of the German writer Goethe, "The Worries of Young Werther." Closing my eyes, the image of the protagonist Witt immediately came to my mind. Thinking about the story of Witt, I can't help but make me think a lot. There are too many words in my heart to tell this sad teenager.

"Young Werther's Worries" tells the story of a talented and natural-loving young Witt who went alone to the hilly village of Qingshan Glen and Chenlulu. He was immersed in this fantastic natural scenery and enjoyed himself. It didn't take long for this kind of comfortable life. Witt met a young and beautiful girl, Greeny, at a ball and fell in love with her deeply. But no one thought that Greeny was already engaged, and her loyalty made it impossible for her to dedicate her love to Witt. This is undoubtedly a heavy blow to Witt in love, a series of troubles also followed, he had to say goodbye to the green, and left unwillingly.

Goethe described the ups and downs of Witt's ups and downs. In his sensation and discussion, he vividly and thoroughly demonstrated the changes in maintaining thoughts and feelings, placing his personal love misfortune in a wide range of social backgrounds, prejudice against feudalism, and selfishness of small citizens. The concept of observing the old and the like has been exposed and criticized, and the individual liberation and emotional freedom have been enthusiastically promoted.

After reading this book, I am very sympathetic to Witt and understand why he is so upset. But at the same time, I also understand the truth: in life, no matter what troubles or setbacks we encounter, we can't choose to escape like Weite. The road to life cannot be flat, and it is impossible to be full of birds and flowers. If you can't fall, you can say that you have no way to go. In life, we cannot avoid setbacks and can only face them. The important thing is to persist in the setbacks and never give up until you defeat the setbacks.
