In Hongyan, I admire Jiang Xueqinjiang sister most. Jiang Jie, formerly known as Jiang Zhuyu, was born on August 20, 1920 in a peasant family in Jiangjiawan, Dashanpu, Zigong City, Sichuan Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1939. In the summer of 1944, she was organized to study at the Agricultural College of Sichuan University and engaged in secret work of the party. On June 14, 1948, due to the traitor's betrayal, Jiang Jie was unfortunately arrested and detained in Chongqing Zhazidong Prison. In the life of Zhazidong Prison, she still wore the blue cheongsam and always greeted everyone with a clean face. Jiang Jie suffered all kinds of torture from the Kuomintang military secret agents, tiger benches, slings, barbed steel whip, crowbar, electric shock... even bamboo sticks into the fingers. When the enemy tortured her, she did not reveal any secrets of the party. When the enemy nailed her fingers with a bamboo stick, she said firmly: "The torture is too small, the bamboo stick is made of bamboo, the will of the Communists. It’s made of steel.” The spy wanted to open a gap from this young female Communist to crack the Chongqing underground party organization.

In the era of revolutionary wars, there are many heroes who sacrificed heroically for others and for their motherland. For example: Peng Xuefeng and Yang Jingyu, they are all examples of heroes. Yang Jingyu never took the people's money. Before he was killed by the Japanese army, he had been living on cotton, bark and grass roots. I am proud of Jiang Jie, Xu Yunfeng, and all the heroes of the Communist Party. Our life today, thanks to them, can be so happy that we can have such a peaceful age. I want to sing passionately for these heroes. Their unyielding, unrelenting revolutionary spirit and heroic spirit are worth learning for us! Jiang Jie, she suffered the torture of the enemy, the enemy pierced the bamboo stick into her fingers, but she still proudly said that the bamboo stick is made of bamboo, but the will of the Communist Party is steel! Yes, this is our hero. This is the true character of the hero. I don’t bow my head in front of the enemy. I sacrifice my life for the sake of the motherland’s tomorrow. They are our heroes, they are our most admirable idols. Their death is more important than Mount Tai, and their death is valuable.

After reading this book, I have brought great enlightenment. The ancestors exchanged their lives for our peace and happiness today. Now they have fallen into the long river of history.
