Earth Hour Proposal

Earth Hour is an initiative of WWF to address global climate change. It is hoped that individuals, communities, businesses and governments will turn off their lights for an hour at 20:30-21:30 on the last Saturday of March each year to show their support for climate change action. Climate change caused by excessive carbon dioxide emissions has now greatly threatened the survival of humans on Earth. Only by changing the attitude of the global public on carbon dioxide emissions can the public mitigate the impact of this threat on the world. On March 26, 2019, from 20:30 to 21:30, "Earth Hour" will once again trigger the voluntary participation of cities, businesses and individuals around the world, and together in this hour, extinguish unnecessary lights for the sustainable future of the planet. Blessing.

Our goal is to get students in the school to get involved as much as possible, turning off lights and other appliances for an hour. The most important thing is to understand how to curb the warming climate, let the students recognize the threat posed by climate change, and realize how deeply a little action each person will have on the environment in which we live – Small changes can make a huge impact.

The charity event was hosted by the Association of Student Unions and organized by the Environmental Protection Association. The target audience is all students of our school. I hope that everyone can turn off the lights for one hour from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 26, contributing to environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction. At that time, we will also carry out related environmental protection activities on the east side basketball court of No. 2 apartment building and play the 79th Oscar-winning best documentary "The Truth That Cannot Be Ignored" in the open air. Welcome everyone to watch.

Protect the planet, save energy and reduce emissions, let us act together.
