Inscription on the inscription of Communist Party member Cheng Yuqiu

Note: Cheng Yuqiu's coffin was buried in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Beijing. The inscription on the tombstone was written by Comrade Ma Shaobo. The full text is as follows: Comrade Cheng Yiqiu, Manchu, Beijing, born in 1904. At the age of six, he studied Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera. He was employed by the famous teacher Wang Yaoqing. At the age of seventeen, she performed in a class. He has studied hard in singing and performing, has been brave in innovation, has formed a unique artistic style, and has achieved outstanding achievements in Chinese drama art. For more than 30 years, his art has been loved by the majority of the audience. Comrade Qiu Qiu was born into a poor family and had deep feelings for the working people. Being a person is just right, hateful. During the rebellious rule of the Northern Warlords and the Kuomintang, he had edited more than 20 dramas with realism spirits such as "Spring Dream" and "Abandoned Mountain Tears" to oppose the warlord and the tyranny of the Kuomintang government. This shows the spirit that he is supposed to be responsible for the people. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Beiping fell. Because of his opposition to the oppression of the enemy, he decided to leave the stage and go to the countryside to work as a farmer. He insisted on not performing for the enemy and showed a noble national integrity. After the liberation of the country, he was inspired by the great victory of the Chinese people's revolution. He has actively participated in the international peace movement and the reform of the opera since 1949. The Anti-US aid and the DPRK went to the DPRK to sympathize with the Chinese People's Volunteers, participate in the donation performance of the Anti-US Aid Korea, and went to all parts of the country to express their condolences to the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In the national actor workshops and daily teaching held in the country, he devoted his artistic creation experience to a new generation. He is serious in his work, simple in style, and is fully committed to the tasks of the party and the state. In 1949, he was elected as the special representative of the first plenary session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In 1954, he was elected as the representative of the National People's Congress, member of the National Committee of the Chinese Literature and Art Federation, and the Chinese Drama Association. Member of the Presidium of the Council, appointed by the Administrative Council as the Vice President of the Chinese Opera Academy. Under the leadership and education of the party, Comrade Qiu Qiu continued to improve his revolutionary consciousness and determined to dedicate himself to the cause of communism. He had applied to join the Communist Party of China many times and was approved as a member of the Communist Party of China in October 1957. On March 9, 1958, he died of myocardial infarction, at the age of 54. Approved by the party organization, chasing the official party members of the Communist Party of China.
